review 1: I just had the genuine pleasure of reading this book to my kids. We loved every second of it. The story is hysterical and fun and the illustrations are both gorgeous and adorable. I will be donating a copy to my kids' classrooms soon. I really can't recommend this enough to anyone with young kids or who is just young at heart. Can you tell I loved it? It makes me want to write a picture book myself.
review 2: Last week my five-year-old son wanted to pick out books with purple on the cover, so he picked out this one. Unfortunately, he picked this book out the day after our hamster died (and not of natural causes). Fortunately, by the time we read this book, we had a new hamster who looks more like Seymour than the first one did. Cute story; adorable illustrati... moreons -- kids won't have any trouble seeing the humor in this book. less
