review 1: Ta da! That is how a series should end. An awesome and brilliant story that answered all our questions about Allie's past and her seemingly distant father. A very well written book that tied all loose ends. I could definitely read this again. One of the best books I've read but maybe I'm a little biased since I've come to love Allie Beckstrom. I would definitely miss reading about her but writing another installment would ruin this sweet ending. Totally loved this. Hats off to you Devon Monk and thanks for the exciting ride!
review 2: There is no way that five stars are enough to convey just how great this book is. It is the perfect culmination to a series that is like no other I've read. Monk's writing is action packed, descriptive, honest, and most of all tho... moreught provoking. I have no complaints about this book. None at all. Not even the insomnia, the fact I desperately wanted to skip work and read the conclusion. No complaints about the number of wadded up tissues laying next to my bed. No complaints about the tears I cried most of the way through the book.I'm not going to give spoilers. I'm not going to give away the plot. I'm simply going to strongly encourage every reader I know, to do the smart thing, pick up this series at book one, and continue to this book, and through this book, with the simple suggestion, remember the lesson Allie speaks about in the first couple of pages of Magic to the Bone, "there's always a price." The price for this series was endless tissues, countless tears, both of joy and of pain, I do hope other readers get as much from this book and the series as I did. less
