review 1: Rip snorting, hilarious and so funny you may want to be careful eating or drinking while reading. How can you take a job as hohum as tax collection and turn it into a comedy. Not only are the characters totally believable and the situations realistic, but the hot sexy innuendos are so fresh that I had to read some a second or third time to make sure of what I read. That is when I could finally stop laughing and catch my breath. I absolutely have to get the other books and read them minus the glass of iced tea. Ladies, this is the book to read when you need a pick me up.
review 2: 2.5 stars. Entertaining but ulitimately disappointing adventure with IRS criminal investigator Tara. The story itself was fine and as amusing as the previous ones. My disappointment c... moreame from the choice Tara makes in the end with regard to the men in her life. While I liked the fact that she struggled with which guy was best for her and didn't jump straight into bed with Nick because she was in a relationship with Brett I can't believe she chose the way she did. She acknowledged that she has a connection with Nick that is missing with Brett, she has more in common with Nick, her family, friends and boss can all see Nick & Tara are a better match - and tell her so. Brett gives another woman (who has been flirting with him) a key to his house but not Tara. Brett is uncomfortable with her job which she loves. Tara fantises about Nick while having sex with Brett. Tara acknowledges all of this yet inexplicably chooses Brett. It ruined what was otherwise a great story. less
