review 1: I went to the library in search of a series that could keep my interest for a few weeks of reading and my library had all 3 of the books available in this series so it won. I really like the setting of these books, the characters are interesting and funny and I think I'm going to like the stories very much. The reason I give this book 3* instead of 4* is that there is quite a few times where the character has a long and lengthy inner dialogue during an actual conversation which makes me imagine them staring off into space for 5 minutes in between sentences spoken out loud. It pulled my attention away from the dialogue to the point that occasionally I had to look back to see what they were talking about. It may not annoy another reader but it did me. Still, I like the story... more and the characters enough to keep reading the series and other books by this author as well. I just may laugh to myself at characters staring off for long periods while in the midst of conversing.
review 2: A journey of love!Finding more than your typical romance Pelican Point is filled with laughter, challenges and a great story. Fast pace with well-developed characters, you will find yourself cheering for many of the characters in the little town. An unusual bump in the road leads to some very interesting twists. Enjoy!
