review 1: Not as strong as the first two books in the series, I found this book easy to put down. The early chapters are a bit rough- even though this is a fictional romance, sometimes things were just a bit too pat and a few of the conversations, especially in the cupcake club scenes, just felt a bit too forced and therefore awkward. While the early chapters help shape the main couple's personality, things don't really pick up until about chapter 12. After that, things move along at a pretty steady clip. I did enjoy Morgan and Kit's developing relationship and it was nice to check back in with the established series characters, even if they did feel overly sweet.
review 2: This book is a heartfelt, warm story about a woman’s journey to find love. Kit has suffered emo... moretionally. She’s experienced loss and feels like her life is going nowhere. She decides to open a bakery, pouring all of her emotions in to a job she loves. When she runs in to the tall dark and handsome lawyer, Morgan, however, everything changes, and she’s caught up in the possibility of a romance. The development of the romance between Kit and Morgan is beautiful. The emotional obstacles that Kit must face are all too familiar, and as she works through them, Morgan’s ability to understand and his patience is romantic and very sweet. As the story goes on, their friends and family play the role of matchmaker, trying to encourage and convince the two that their relationship is worth all of the effort. Fun, loving and charming, this story set in the South, is a perfect romance for a night in. If you’re looking for a good book that will make you melt, pick this one up and fall in love.
