review 1: The story continues with Jess and her twin sister crossing the pond to learn more about their abilities and their clan. Similarly to the previous book, this is a fast paced page turner with enough twists to keep you guessing who to trust, what control durupinen have, who is the twins father, where is Pierce and why is Finn so uptight? That's just a few of the questions this book tries to answer. There is so much more though like the Silent Child and other spirits introduced. The university the girls attend appears to be similar to Hogwarts, but other than the fact they attend classes the differences are vast. I appreciate Holmes ability to weave a story within a story. Adding personality to the ghosts helps readers want to know the story behind why they still have not left... more our world. I am eager to read the third book which won't be out until another few months!
review 2: What an absolutely brilliant second book of this trilogy! After waiting a year for its release, it didn't disappoint and I never wanted to put it down. I was even devastated when I got to the last chapter as I knew I was so close to the end. In my opinion, it's very rare to find the second book of a trilogy to be as gripping as the first but Spirit Prophecy was, and I can't believe I'll have to wait another 12 months for the next instalment! A fantastic read that's now up there in my top 5 - almost certain to be read and re-read again and again :) less
