review 1: This is one of those books that takes awhile to really get into. It was slow to start but I understood the build up - getting to know the all the characters and their relationships with each other. There was definitely no instalove but a slow burn romance, which made it more appealing. I really like Beatrice and Giovanni - there were some serious sexual tension going on. While this book doesn't end in a cliffhanger, it does make me want to read more. Very promising start to the the series and I can't wait to dive into book 2.
review 2: *sigh* First let me start off by saying I am glad this book was free on Amazon or I would have been upset not spending that money on something I actually liked. You will like this book if you want to pretty much read Twilight but
... more in that book you thought that:- It was too entertaining- The lead male wasnt old enough- The plot moved too quickly- There was too much action- There wasnt enough angst- Etc. Ad nauseam I am impressed I finished this book. Its like those contemporary novels that the main characters hang out all the time, there is really no plot and the only thing they do is have sex, but without the sexy time. The only thing this has going for it is some humorous banter, but that really can't carry a whole 400+ page book. Oh well. Its over. less
