review 1: This was a very interesting book to say the least. I've read Ellen's work before and I could really vibe with the characters and the plot. It's about the same for this book, I know it's a companion to her other novel Triangles, but having not read that really didn't make a difference. The book was almost like a stand alone. The character switching (since there were so many) I wasn't used to at first. It was hard to keep track of who's story was whose. But it all worked out in the end. I loved the poetic feel to Tilt. Always kept me guessing. I would totally recommend this book if you like a story that's informative, and relatable.
review 2: This is the first book I've read written in a verse format. Yes I realize reading a 608 page book in a completely unknown
... morestyle of writing doesn't make much sense. But I've seen this book a lot at the library where I work and when I saw that it was on the list of books to read for this week I just jumped right into it. And so I've realized that I really like verse novels. I'm not a poetic person and I don't like reading poems, but I had no problems liking this novel. As much as I liked this style of writing I can't say I actually enjoyed the story. There were just way to many characters and relationships between all of these characters. I had to make a list and chart to keep track of everyone. Even with a large cast of characters to pick from I didn't like any of them. less
