review 1: I missed these characters so much.Alex, Loreli, and Rachel return in the sequel to Good Intentions. Elliot Kay spins a tale of alternative romance and supernatural hindrances. Alex must learn more about his past lives and learn to put his old demons to rest, otherwise he will not be able to appreciate his current one. Rachel must learn to integrate her new responsibilities with her new relationship. Loreli has not changed, thank God.I did like the story, but it felt very repetitive. There was a new angle with the government getting involved with supernatural law enforcement, but otherwise it was the same formula. Sex, werewolf attack, more sex, vampire attack, sex again...If you really liked the first one you should like this one. Just don't expect to have any "didn't see ... morethat coming" moments.
review 2: Ahhh the sequel to Good Intentions. The plot pretty much revolves around the mess that was made in the previous book. They have FBI targeting them now, a werewolf still wanting to mate with Alex and a whole lot of angry vampires out for revenge. I enjoyed the book a lot and as usual Rachel's colorful speech was awesome. Having an angel with tourettes at all the wrong moments really enhances the entertainment factor of the story. Overall I think the book wasn't as long as the first and maybe not 'milked' as much as it could be. For instance, Alex's drama with trying to deal with all his past lives I think has a lot more potential then was written. If there is a 3rd book, which I hope there is, the author still has plenty of room to play on Alex using his knowledge and memories of the Crusades or as a Viking to his advantage. He did touch a piano and I'd love to see more of that too. Gah, seems like I'm rambling. Anyways I liked the book a lot, hoping he writes a 3rd; don't want to wait another 2yrs+ for it to come out though. I would definitely recommend this book to others. less

Meh, it was ok. I got tired of all the justifications for polygamy.
