review 1: ตอนหยิบเล่มนี้มาอ่านไม่ได้คาดหวังอะไรเลย เพราะปกติไม่ค่อยชอบนิยายที่มีธีมมาจากเทพนิยาย/นิทานต่างๆเท่าไหร่แต่พอได้อ่านเท่านั้นแหละ ลบทุกความคิดเลยทีเดียว อ่านรวดเดียวจบชอบบทสนทนาของเรื่องนี้มากๆ ไม่ใช่แค่พระเอก-นางเอก แม้แต่บทสนทนาระหว่างนางเอก-พ่อนางเอก หรือ พระเอก-พ่�... more��บ้าน ก็สนุกมาก จิกกัดกันตลอด แต่มีความคมคายผุดๆนางเอกเรื่องนี้ ฉลาด รู้จักคิด ไม่งี่เง่า (แม้แต่ในเวลาที่ควรงี่เง่าที่สุดของเรื่องก็ยังมีสติพอใช้ได้ ไม่เกินงาม)ส่วนพระเอก นอกจากขาเป๋ แล้วยังปากร้ายเอาโล่ห์ แหวกทุกธรรมเนียมของพระเอกแนว Historical ทีเดียว สรุปว่า ใครยังไม่อ่าน แนะนำให้อ่านค่ะ รับรองไม่ผิดหวัง
review 2: A very clever adaptation of the fairytale. The dialogue between Piers and Linnet is so fantastic, so witty, and so hilarious that the pages turn themselves as you devour each scene with a smile plastered on your face.Linnet is one of my favourite heroines, well written, with beauty AND brains, and therefore quite deserving of the "House-like" Piers; although perhaps a little too modern for the regency era. This is an easy read, pure escapism and a must-read for lovers of fairytales and regency-era romance. less
