review 1: Sangat menarik. Ternyata ini bukan benar-benar cinta segitiga. Cinta segiempat? Tidak juga. Yah aku senang dengan aspek itu yang setiap tokohnya tidak hendak membantai masing-masing saingannya -.-Well, aku hanya memikirkan untuk apa adegan ke Prancis itu. Untuk membuktikan bahwa hero itu beneran hero? Tak terlalu perlu menurutku. Tapi yah aku mengikuti penulisnya saja. Menurutku mengapa tidak akhirkan saja ceritanya dengan kemenangan Rupert, pernikahan hero-heroine, and that's it. Tapi tidak, James memilih cerita yang lebih menyusahkan dirinya--bila ku bisa bilang begitu, tidak mengambil jalan cerita yang lebih 'mudah'. Lalu kenapa tidak ada nama suami Georgie?
review 2: What the heck happened to my review?So I started this book with high hopes after A Kiss at ... moreMidnight, Storming the Castle and When Beauty Tamed the Beast. After starting it I thought "oh well three out of four is ok" as I was having a hard time connecting with the story and characters (In retrospect I went back to work after a four day weekend and to a ton of work; easy to be distracted lol). So I wasn't impressed and then when Olivia and The Duke met, I kinda fell in love. One killjoy of the story for me was Georgina... her properness was annoying and overbearing at times. I really enjoyed the character development and relationship between the h/h. I must admit, I was on pins and needles wrecking my brain trying to figure out how this would come to a head....it was done nicely and with finess. Despite the slow start I would highly recommend this book, it was eventually a 5 star for me. I would also like say that the over the top complaints regarding how a particular character was portrayed are not true. You have to give a book more than a few pages to judge how a character will turn out. There were some unkind sentiments towards the mental capacity of this character but others were not immune from insult either. I love how EJ dealt with his story quiet honestly. Please don't miss this awesome read over some of the negative complaints... less
