review 1: It was a relistic fiction book about a girl, Cameron Post her parents died and she lives wih her aunt. She likes other girls but her aunt is very religious and Catholic. When she finds out she sends her to a boarding school to "get better." I really disagreed with the Catholic way of gay being a bad thing. I liked how she got over her parents death in the end. It was a book that I could hqve read if I was a little older but I still enjoyed it.
review 2: The distance of time and additional experience makes me realize what a gem this book really was. There is a part that is stunningly wrenching and unexpected--it takes skill to take the reader by surprise like that, and make them take the hit so hard. (I am by no means inexperienced when it comes to sad fiction.)
... more I love also how the book deals with deeper issues towards the end--without revealing too much, it feels so appropriate that a dramatic event alludes only superficially to an issue still not understood by humanity in general, but in a searing and meaningful way. Bravo. less

Too long--so long that I stopped caring about the main character.
