review 1: I thought I might be reading Nora Roberts, Jude Deveraux, Janet Chapman. This first book of the Eternity Springs series has captured me. Of course, it being the first book of 9.5 books, all of the characters are introduced and the scene is set. Gabe's and Nicole's story is a little redundant at times, but you'll get through it for the 'happy ever after'. I am hoping that Ms. March takes pity on me, the reader, and will give me a 'Gabe and Nicole' update from time to time. Recommend!
review 2: This book hit the spot as a light read. The characters seem like real people, except for Celeste Blessing who I suspect may be an angel. There were times I found the characters' behavior childish and selfish. However, I have not experienced the tragedies they have ... moreand perhaps I would act the same way in their situation. The story did not follow a typical romance story line and I appreciate that the central characters' friends and town play a big role in the story. I think the author should have developed the mystery storyline more than she did. I enjoyed it enough to want to read the next book in the series. less
