review 1: I had not read the books in this series but I will now as I liked the town of Eternity Springs and the cast of characters that filled the book. I did have some grumblings and they were not with the writing but my personal feelings about situations that occurred.... the hero left town 20 plus years ago, leaving a pregnant 16 year old behind.... he went on to start a new life as well as now has a 16 year old son. There in lays my issue.... his excuses besides... he was concerned about his first child.... whom he never inquired about....(at the very least in the first ten years), but yet was fully able to raise a son alone...hmmmm. When the characters all meet.... the girl is jealous of this fact and that would probably to me be the most unforgiving aspect as he SPOLIERS (m... moreaybe)he could find a way to parent this boy and yet for all his bellaching about how much he loved and thought about his daughter he did jack nothing to see for himself anything about her.... then has the audacity to show up and think a sorry i left a kid single alone and pregnant as well as a daughter he never laid eyes on for 20 years while he lived his dream in Australia with a kid he raised..... as a child of this situation I would have hated both father and son as in the end he chose not to be her father and went out and raised a kid he did want...no explanation would ever be able to right that, as for his walking away from the heroine... even as hot as he sounded even at the end I kinda wished she ended up with the sheriff.... as I did not trust the "hero" even at the end....but i love angst and this one had it!
review 2: Twenty years ago the town bad boy, Cam Murphy, left Eternity Springs in handcuffs, riding in the back of a sheriff’s van . . . and breaking young Sarah Reese’s heart. The defiant teenager vowed never to return. In Australia, Cam makes a new beginning. He builds a successful business and suffers few regrets until Sarah—and their daughter—walk into his life, and then immediately run away. Realizing it’s time to right yesterday’s wrongs, he follows Sarah home to Colorado—and turns her world upside down.Cam wants to know his daughter. He needs to prove to Sarah, the town, and himself that he’s changed. Will the residents of Eternity Springs offer forgiveness—and will Sarah have the courage to trust this man who is asking for a second chance?I think so far this is my favorite book in the series. Can't wait to start the next one.... less
