review 1: Crazy story (to me, these shape-shifter fantasy stories are fairly new) about about a couple married 20 years who get kidnapped by a couple of seal-men with huge phalluses who are horny as hell. The husband figures out he's bi-sexual, and the lead seal-man falls in love, hard, with the wife. There's a second seal-man just to round things out, and make the husband not feel left out while the main seal bangs his wife into kinky oblivion. Somehow it all works out.The scenes are pretty hot, but I guess it fell a little short for me, that's why 3 not 4 stars, because I couldn't get past the "pelt" of hair and the "slit" on the seal-males' genetalia... I kept thinking "Sea World Porno". Not my cuppa. But I still liked it, its Emma Holly, after all.
review 2: Emma Ho
... morelly, how I love thee ways...... *Whew* "Hidden Depths" is part of Emma's steamy paranormal "Hidden" series and wow... Does it ever live up to Emma's other works of literary art!! In this novel, Emma introduces us to the wereseals, which are a bit of an unusual species, even for my paranormal loving genes, but she does it with flair & had me instantly addicted to this new world... The wereseals live in Oceana, which is a part of her Fae created world that includes the city of Resurrection, (found in her other Hidden novels & mentioned in my past reviews), a beautiful, Atlantis-like city, deep under the ocean waters... Anso Vitul is the new king of the wereseals in Oceana... His body & soul are calling strongly for him to find his mate & he ventures off in search of her, along with Ty, his best male wereseal friend (in many ways:). His internal radar pulls him toward Olivia Forster, a very human female, who also happens to be married to the long time love of her life, James... Circumstances end up with Anso deciding to bring both Olivia & James back home to Oceana, and also very nearly into the arms of certain death. Olivia cannot resist the magnetic pull that Anso wields over her body... And neither can James, nor Ty... Olivia & James must discover if they are capable of becoming part of Ty & Anso's world or if they feel like they belong solely in the human world. Their journey of discovery pulls them into the arms of a madman, set out to destroy the world of Oceana along with the newly awakened love between Olivia & Anso, who are destined soul mates.. There are many other surprises, twists & turns thrown into this novel that makes for one amazing read! I'm personally used to many different types of paranormals and usually can make it thru most just fine, but I will warn you that Hidden Depths is very graphic & even made a jaded long-time reviewer like myself blush immensely and get extremely hot under the collar! If you are a fan of paranormal erotic romances, then do not pass this book up, because you will fall head over heels in love with the amazingly sensuous and intensely graphic worlds that Emma Holly creates.. This is one of the best erotic romances I have ever read and I gladly recommend it to anyone who desires a little excitement in their life... As always, Emma Holly does not disappoint and you should take a peek at her website and check out the other amazing novels this fabulous author has written.. ~ Vicki Rose ~ Bitten By Love Reviews less
