review 1: it was a good fun read. the heroine was such a bad luck or trouble seeker with a feisty mouth which was undeniable.And she went a battle with the big baddass purple but found him just cute and harmless. And she all went all kinda pity for the neutered guy. it was just funny. it was kinda the typical story where the man was strong and deny but went all weepy when the lost occurred. And the girl felt in love.Anyway, however, it was a pretty good book.
review 2: I usually love Langlais' work, but this one just fell into the "ok" category. I loved the creativity of the plot, and the heroine was quite enjoyable. Everything else just felt "blah" to me. It was no great page turner and at times I contemplated discontinuing all together, but I stuck it out. It wasn... more’t great, but it wasn’t bad either. While I'm certain to not continue this series, it will in no way deter me from checking out more of this writers work in the future, because I just adore her original writing style. less
