review 1: I LOVE the Decker Lazarus series. This book kept me interested, but I have to admit the number of characters made it cumbersome to read. She usually finishes every book the right way.. this one seemed to end abruptly without a believable end to the story... I don't know how many CIA agents, International agents, and local authorities would sit down with the wife of a detective to explain a hush hush case.... Anyone else agree?
review 2: The last few Faye Kellerman novels I read caused me to fear this member of the Kellerman authorship family was losing her touch. Fear not -- the master of her craft has returned in Murder 101. The difference to me is the pace of the action as much as the development of the characters and the plot resolution. The action ranges fr... moreom Peter Decker's small town beat to suburban Boston in geographic area and from grave crypt robbery to international dealings with the Russians. Peter's new partner is a young college graduate who joins the police force to avoid entering law school as his father wishes. As they work together to solve the mystery, they grow in respect for each other. This growth plays a critical role in unraveling the mystery and resolving the plot. Of course, Rina also gets to play an important role in the resolution. Thank you, Ms Kellerman, for gifting us with a delightful reading adventure. less
