review 2: I have loved the books in this series and this one doesn't disappoint! There's mystery and police action-but more importantly there are relationships different cultures-a great blend.This author has written some books with her husband and recently teamed up with her daughter on a young adult novel Prism which might be a fun read for those of us into al... moreternate universes! This book is down to earth and fascinating in the way it shows a raised Catholic detective and his Jewish family as they deal with taking care of a foster son whose father is a gangster! less
