review 1: "If you were a penguin" is a picture book that explains that penguins in some aspect acts like humans and it discusses on how penguins communicate with one another, similar to humans. Readers can make a personal connection to the text, because they can see that even though we are of different species, we all interact the same. For a literacy station, I would introduce rhyming and verbs. In the book, it explains what it is that penguins do so that would be the connection to verbs.
