review 1: The biblical concept of discipleship is very well laid out in this book. With questions that require the studying of Bible passages, Francis Chan consistently brings his thoughts back to the Bible. I was impressed with this book, and found it to be a very good book study with a small group. The questions require you to self examine your lifestyle and offer practical help in how to disciple as well as how to study the Bible.
review 2: As my cursory read to figure out whether it would be useful for future discipling, I have to admit that I did not fully think through all the questions and readings. However, from the content alone, it read like "Christianity 101" and did a good job showing how the whole Bible points to Christ. It felt like a mix between the b
... moreooks "30 Days to Understanding the Bible" and "Radical." I am looking forward to rereading it with another believer and more fully digesting the questions and Scripture references. less

definitely do this in a Bible study and do not read it yourself--it defeats the purpose of the book!

This is a great introduction to missional living, but it's not an end point.
