review 1: I think this volume generally gets a bad rep because it uses so many fairly obscure Marvel characters. I for one enjoy when obscure characters from decades ago get pulled up used in a modern setting, so I was okay with it here. The art didn't feel quite as mood specific, but again I was okay with being this was set fully in the main stream universe.Zombie Deadpool was awesome enough that the whole issue could just been him having his head walked about making jokes. And it was nice seeing having Dr. Mobius and Jennifer Kale's story in relation to the zombies continue. I did kind of feel the zombie plot device jumped the shark when it turned into a giant sentient cloud, and by the end of this series although I was looking forward to reading more I felt like the zombie pl... moreot device was running out of good places to go.
review 2: This was a weird and strange ride and not all of it in a good way. These Zombie books range from the absurd, where it is impressive to see Marvel publishers NOT taking themselves so seriously, to the serious, like in the wonderful FF reprints.Well this book was a manic combination of both directions, with some serious as hell Son Of Satan sections, and some ridiculous Deadpool portions. It made it a strange read. And THIS Time I actually liked the ancient reprint filler at the end! less
