review 1: Now for those who read my last post on The Boys Volume 1: Name of the Game know that this series is very hard to describe! The word intense comes to mind. The artwork and story line tend to be very graphic. The language can be crude, so if your sensitive to those types of things, don't pick this up. On the flip side if you are looking for good chuckle or surprises while reading, this is a MUST READ!Now The Boys series follows a group extreme killers with various skills. The world is over run with douche bag superheros who do more harm then good, and well when they step out of line, The Boys step in to regulate. In volume 2, story follows The Boys to Russia where you meet an a loveable ex-superhero. Their mission is to find out why there have been cases of superheros heads... more exploding for no reason. While volume 2 is a little less intense and less graphic there are plenty of scenes you double take on. This series have been very fun to read, and I highly recommend! If you are looking for something new to read or need a break from your usual books, give this one a try!
review 2: I like the review that calls this series filthy. Okay, this is volume 2 out of 12 and writing a review when you are in the midst of a story-line with all these theories about what is going to happen bouncing around in your head...impossible. Even if you do happen to think your theories are brilliant, which I do. Anyway, there are things in here that will shock you...probably. But the story is good. the humor wicked and the art impressive. less
