review 1: Enjoyed how this moved the story along and felt it was overall a really good chapter in the story as a whole. Felt overall that the characters remained true to themselves from the first book, but I felt Sheila, who in the first book was adamant how she was Legal for the part she was in, seemed to not seem as adamant she was legal and didn't care as much about her Valuable Asset status as she was Legal. Also, for being the entire instigator of Anna escaping, Peter seemed to question his loyalty rather quickly, but I do understand that he is 16 years old and figuring his place etc, but wish he had questioned the information a bit more. However, was pleased with the book.
review 2: This book pissed me off. I was still interested in the story and what was happening... more with the characters but I really felt that the author didn't want to write about young teenagers so she tried to make the audience forget how young they were. Several times they are asked right out how old they are and they never answer... The issues and experiences they were dealing with just didn't feel right for youths to be going through and the way they acted in almost all the situations was well beyond their years, especially considering that they had no prior experience at what they were doing. It just felt odd and uncomfortable to me and although I understand why the author wanted to move the plot forward the way she did I wish that she'd made the characters older to begin with so that their lives suited them a little better. less
