review 1: Things that made me give it one star: it is based on a wikipedia article, the 'scientific evidence' is taken out of context, the timeline doesn't fit, there is ZERO character development, the 'lovetriangle' is ridiculus, the main character is dispensable and lastly: I could not make myself care for anyone in this book.It seemed like an interesting book but it completely fell flat. Thankfully it was a fast read because you could skip the endless pages of the main character rehashing her inner dialog over and over.
review 2: Good, easy read. Entertaining enough for the age group its aimed at.Interesting idea but it's let down by what seems to be the required standard in all YA books : a love triangle. I think this would have been even better if it had just been ... moreabout Lucas and Raffy as the two main characters. Evie didn't feel essential to the development of the story. I felt like she was just tagged along, but maybe in the next two books she might have more to do except wonder whether or not she is evil, and what she feels for each brother. less
