review 1: They're really getting into the story of how Republic City develops as an understanding between the Fire Nation colonists and the Earth Kingdom people who already lived there, and a movement toward an independent, democratically elected government. Not to mention the friction between keeping the old ways against cultivating the new. Religion and its interactions with industrialism have always been a big deal for me, so watching it unfold in the universe of ATLA is really fascinating. Excited for more.
review 2: The avatar series is great entertainment! The Rift, part 1 is perfect art, the dialogue and story is excellent. This may not be the best one to buy first if you know nothing about the series. I found myself quite impressed as I read this graphic novel... more. It flows so smoothly while you're reading it.
