review 1: I hate you Gerri Hill ;) I just spent two nights reading this wonderful story and now I have to read on (Hell's Highway). I have to, there is no choice. I can't ignore the small voices inside my head that tell me to read on, sleep is overrated ;) I really want to know how this story goes on. Anway, I loved this story. It had everything, a blossoming love story, just the right amount of tension and two awesome lead characters (as well as a little kitten named Lola). Gotta run, the next book is waiting ;) Thumbs up!
review 2: Good example of how a ludicrous ending can destroy an ok to good book.Similarly to Hill's Partners, I was torn about this book. I liked the crime plot, a continuation of Partners. Psycho serial killer was back and with a vengeance.The romanc... moree part seemed forced all the way through. I would have loved for this book to have ended two chapters before it did. Two people meet, they take from each other what they need for the moment and they move on. I could have lived with a more hopeful ending in that they make tentative plans for the future. But to have the FBI agent call her boss, have the other one hired on the spot and drive off into the sunset in the bat mobile? Ruined the whole book for me. less
