review 1: I really enjoyed this book and am anxiously awaiting delivery of the next two in the series, yet although I know my co-worker Amber is going to murder me when she gets back from Christmas vacation, I'm only giving this three stars. Why? It's a great diversion and very charming, but it's airy, with characters that move between emotional states too easily and confrontations are too quick to spark and too quick to resolve. I suspect that with the world building out of the way that the next two installments will be more character focused which will yield more stars.
review 2: If you're into ghosts and troubled teenage girls then you should read this book. The author does an amazing job of describing everything that goes on it this book that sometimes I wonder if I'... morem still reading or if I started looking at a painting. If you think that this book is just about ghosts, ghouls, and Halloween things, it's not. First of all these people are reapers not ghosts. Secondly this book is not scary or anything, it's actually quite funny if you ask me. As you see this juvenile delinquent struggle with her summer on her uncle's "farm". It will almost bring you to tears laughing. less

Seabass

This book was a weird category that I have never read before. As it is about a high school girl named Lex who goes to stay with his uncle during the summer after causing trouble at her own school and house. Lex later realizes the her uncle took her to a place where they help people die or take out their souls from their trapped body. I liked the book since it had a very unique idea and concept to it. The book also has a lot of suspense to it, and as well as action that helps the book to keep moving forward in the plot. Overall this book was very different, but enjoyable and surprising.

Croak is an interesting book. It has a very nice story with good twists, a great cast of characters, great writing, and a well made world for our characters to exist in. The book even provides a nice sequel hook. The book has one of the better written love sub-plots I've seen in a while, as well as an nice little mystery for its conflict. Ultimately, there isn't much I can really say about the book, but it's definitely a good book if you're looking for something to read.
