review 1: The audio version of this conclusion to Gordon Korman's suspenseful Titanic Trilogy does not disappoint. One feels literally immersed in the tragedy as it unfolds minute by minute and are acutely aware of the great ironies surrounding the legendary ship's sinking and rescue efforts. All the loose ends are tied up, but realistically, as we follow the four young friends from different social classes as they try to survive.
review 2: Titanic Book Three: S.O.S. The book "Titanic Book Three: S.O.S." is written by Gordon Korman. This book is fiction but it based off of a true story. I found this book to be very interesting because I had seen a movie about the Titanic but this book has different characters which gives a different point of view of the Titanic. I would
... morerecommend this book to anybody looking for an interesting and exciting book to read. In the book "Titanic Book Three: S.O.S. there are many things that happen from exciting to sad, there are many problems that the main characters face. In the book "Titanic Book Three: S.O.S." the ship has been struck along the side by an iceberg which ripped open the side of the ship. The ship is now slowly starting to sink as most of the people on board begin to panic as they try and find a way off the sinking ship. Many people don't make it off the ship, but many others do, some make it onto lifeboats, others stuck in the ice cold water. As rescue arrives, more lives are lost, but there are still many people that make it out of the water and back onto land at New York. The protagonists encounter many different problems as they try and survive, such as a murderer that is trying to survive the ice cold waters of the ocean or a person fighting them for a place on a boat. The book "Titanic Book Three: S.O.S has different strengths and weaknesses. The characters in this book are well developed, they each have a different personality and they think differently. For example, one of Paddy's friends named Daniel is very smart person, he knew what could sink the Titanic before it even happened. Then there's Sophie's mother, which never cried, not at her parents' funerals or when her nose had been broken, but she cried when she saw her daughter on the rescue ship because she thought that Sophie hadn't made it off the Titanic. Another strength of this book would be the plot, it is very interesting and very realistic. Because it is based off of a true story it would be realistic, but it is interesting because it is about one of the greatest ships that was claimed to be unsinkable but was slowly sinking. It's also interesting because the protagonists and antagonists have to work together instead of against each other to try to survive in the ice cold water. The writing style of this book flows very well and is also very descriptive. The writing describes many things that the characters are feeling and what's happening around them. For instance, the writing describes how the Titanic looks so beautiful and terrifying to the people on the lifeboat as the Titanic sinks, or how many of the higher class people were still playing card games as the lower class people were panicking when the ship had first been struck. I would give this book 4/5 stars, because I found this book to be a very interesting and exciting version of the Titanic I know of. As stated before, this book has many strengths to it, with the plot, the characters and the writing style. What I think one weakness to this book is, is the length. I would have liked this book to be longer because I want to know what happens to the characters after they get back on land, and how this sinking affects the characters. less
