review 1: It is so difficult to pick a favorite of Grace Burrowes books because they are all so good but this one is high on my list. By now her books should be repetitive as I'm been on a mission to read them all. But no, this one was special. Louisa and her hero, Sir Joseph, each have secrets they are keeping. Because they are NOT "I'm ruined and therefore unlovable" nor "I've had my heart broken and cannot trust myself to love" secrets, I was able to stay riveted to the story to the very end. The loyalty of family is strong in this one although Joseph proves that love and loyalty are not complete if one doesn't really get to know the loved one.Another great hero and a splendid heroine made this book read so fast I thought it was a novella.

... moreis book quite some time ago, but I forgot to mark that I even read it. I came by the cover and I said "Hmmm I think I have read this one". But I do remember not really caring for it. I found it too lengthy for the type of story it was, a romantic holiday story. I found there to be too many names and I got really confused. In hindsight, I really should read it again to a get a more clear review. less
