review 1: I couldn't finish this book - which was such a shame. Up to chapter 34 they eluded to the guy promoting his 'dogfight' business......and as long as it appeared to be in the 'background' - I chose to ignore it...then it became full, front and centre and I just couldn't ignore it any longer. Too bad - because the underlying plot was a great story......I just think the bloodshed and dogfights ruined it for me.....
review 2: This book has been my least favorite so far. It was a page turner and I did get sucked into the plot, but I think that's just the type of writer he is. At some point you have to know what happens. There was so much going on it was hard to keep up with and understand it all. The dogfighting and gambling didn't interest me but solving the murde... morer did. That's why I stuck with it. Some of it seemed a little much and non realistic. less
