review 1: Another thrilling installment. As always, I feel the need to read more by and about dear Mr. Wilde. However, Brandreth's research is extensive and also has a personal connection, being friends with his grandson and took tea as a student with a teacher who had known Oscar and Constance Wilde, personally. I'm hoping a new book ion this series is in the offing and that it includes "Gentleman Jack" like the author alluded.

I was not familiar with details of the life of Oscar Wilde, after reading this book I did look up the facts of his life. brandreth is a very skilled writer, his development of character and the pace of action kept me turning pages, I just had to keep reading to see what more developed. now I plan to read the en... moretire series and more of Brandreths work, he is an extremely accomplished man. less
