review 1: A book built around a really good idea “Your level of success will seldom exceed your level of personal development." -Jim Rohn As a first-year college student that was focusing purely on academics and letting my emotions and body go, I found this very interesting. When I didn't feel good physically or emotionally, I noticed my grades, body, and failed relationship (It's been a rough year) were also not very good.Hal Elrod offers The Miracle Morning for waking up early, working on self-care, and becoming a focused individual who knows what he/she wants. He seems to be a really enthusiastic about his idea and does offer a bit of a pitch, but I feel it's necessary to get one hyped about such a thing as getting up early in the morning. I found it to be a very interesting an... mored refreshing book to read. Reading his book and practicing these techniques has been helping me get back on track and I am truly grateful to him for that.
review 2: I started reading this, got through maybe 2 and a half chapters, and skimmed the rest. This is a decent book. He gives good advice, and I'm sure it works for those who stick to it. (I haven't even tried it at this point.) It really is all about changing your mindset. That being said, there were a few things that bothered me. Most of the book is all filler fluff - he takes forever to make his point. You could literally read the first line of each paragraph and understand it perfectly. The other thing that really bothered me is he keeps throwing out all these statistics, and while he might cite a couple, he by no means gives his sources for most of them. It's mostly, "I recently read a statistic that said..." I want to know where this info came from and if it's legit. Other than that, it's good advice. I might try his method, but the book could have been put together better. less
