review 1: I thought this book was great! A reformed computer hacker is the co-owner of a computer security firm. She has become agoraphobic after her lover dies in a mountain climbing accident. She conducts all of her business online using an avatar in a Second Life-like space, and hasn't seen her business partner--a friend of said lover--in person in several years. When her sister disappears, she is forced to leave her home and safe haven to find her. Many of the other reviewers gave this book one or two stars because they didn't understand the online role playing aspect of this book, and how immersive it can be. I felt that the entire book was very believable, and very suspenseful, and I very highly recommend it.
review 2: I loved this riveting suspense novel cent
... moreering on a young woman suffering from PTSD and agoraphobia who has become a recluse, living in virtual reality and conducting all her business in cyberspace. This is a fascinating, geeky page-turner of a psychological and cyber thriller, involving computer crime, deceit, betrayal, corruption, and greed, that can be enjoyed by techies and crime-fiction fans. Highly recommended. less

Fun, fast-paced thriller. Reads like an action movie--- perfect for a lazy Saturday afternoon read.
