review 1: I love Wick. He tells it like it is and doesn’t care how it sounds. He marches to the beat of his own drummer and I loved it! Wicked Solutions by Havan Fellows is first in the Wicked’s Way serial. I am not usually a fan of serials but I must say I thoroughly enjoyed my introduction. As I was reading I kept picturing a P.I. from old movies only grittier and sexier in the form of one Wick Templeton. If you are expecting more than a vignette you will be disappointed. But the first story gives us a feel for Wick and I think a bit of what to expect in Wick’s and Ned’s game of cat and mouse. Ms. Fellows makes it obvious there is chemistry between Wick and Ned but how far will it go? Will Wick break his rules when it comes to Ned? Will he even see him again? Al... morel questions with no answers, at least currently. Normally that would annoy the crap out of me but Ms. Fellows gave this story a nice beginning, middle and end while leaving us panting for more. I enjoyed my entry into this world and look forward to a slow unveiling of days in the life of Wick. Five Shooting Stars!!
review 2: Part of the excellent Pulp Friction series , this is Wick Templetons, ex cop turned private eyes story. In this he's contacted by his ex lover and soon becomes embroiled in a case of insider trading during which he meets the enigmatic Ned Harris. There's attraction in this but no physical action between the two guys. The story ends on a sort of mild cliffhanger but its more a " we'll meet again" style ending so obviously it makes you want to pick up book two ( which I have already waiting in the wings ). As separate stories in the Pulp Friction series they all have their own charms and excitement levels. This was good but not quite as exciting ( yet ) as the other books Ive read but I think things are going to hot up soon. Wicks a dry character and I like that about him, he's the sort of guy you shouldn't really like but can't help Doing. I do love (how at some part in each authors contribution to the series on a whole) the characters from the other books either have a cameo appearance or do get involved in each others stories. Really clever and that's why I'll be collecting the whole series and keeping it! All short but packed well so no short changed feelings. Yeah, this has great possibilities... On now to see what happens next time Ned crosses Wicks path! less
