review 1: This is the third book by Heather Gudenkauf that I have read and I have enjoyed all three. With each one, I can see that her skills have grown and improved. I could not figure out the "whodoneit" until just before it was revealed and I love her format of story construction using various narrators. She breathes life into her characters from their first introduction into the story. There is nothing dull or boring nor trite or dopey. Just good entertainment!!!! Looking forward to another Guydenkauf creation soon!
review 2: I really didn't think I was going to like this book at first but it did catch me quickly after a few chapters. Didn't know if reading one more book about a gunman in a school could muster the suspense but it surely did. I really liked th... moree way the author introduced the characters - no long writing but quick snippets to get you to know who they were and what they meant in the story. She wrote in very short chapters with each one told by a different character - the chapters got shorter near the end which really added to the suspense. Kept me guessing throughout the entire book and it wasn't until it was almost revealed that I figured out what was going on. Excellent read - fast and furious! less
