review 1: When I first began this book, I had an open mind. I wasn't expecting something amazing, but I thought it might be cute and/or funny. Unfortunately, it was neither of those things. The first to chapters were almost really good, but then suddenly the plot began to get tired and cutesy, and the portrayal of mythological creatures was stereotypical and overly modernized. I put the book down about halfway through and didn't pick it up again.
