review 1: All done. No more FMA. *fangirl sigh*The ending was everything this reader was hoping for. Beautiful sacrifice and parting message, and thorough resolution. No strings were left untied, and I found all the conclusions to be satisfactory from both a plot and character development standpoint.I'm pleased to say that this manga held itself to a high standard consistently throughout the entire series, both in terms of story quality and in terms of content. There were a few volumes with unnecessary crude humor or immodesty, but overall the series did not "go south." If the first few volumes are to your liking, you'll be fine with the rest of the series.
review 2: If I could give this 10 stars I would. WOW! What an amazing series. One of the best stories (in any
... more medium) I have had the pleasure to be immersed in, in a LONG time. Characters that I fell in love with despite their flaws. Darkness that was balanced out with humor and heart. Action, thoughtful themes and an ending that was satisfying, fitting and tear-worthy. The page at the end with the 'family' picture had me blubbering. I would recommend this to manga fans and non-fans alike. Now onto the anime series - can't wait to see it all come to life. Oh and thank you Hiromu Arakawa, your artwork, storytelling and characters are bar-none, thank you for such a wonderful story. less
