review 1: Pride has consumed Gluttony making the child-like homunculus supremely dangerous until Alphonse comes up with a plan. Unfortunately this plan means he and Ed and their father have to separate. Ed and Hohenheim head to Central to find Father. In the meantime both Olivia and her men and Mustang and his gang are trying to take the city. Elsewhere Bradley’s generals enact part of his longstanding plan while Kimbley is on the move. This is still one of the finest manga out there. Obviously, this isn’t a starting point for a new reader but it’s a goal worth reading toward.
review 2: Wooo-EEE, this is really gearing up for a spectacular ending. All of the various good guys are coordinated and in place, Col. Mustang's group is rampaging through his area (complet
... moree with Mustang setting everything on fire and Hawkeye sniping everything that moves), Major-General Armstrong is tearing everything up in her sector, the Ishbalans are getting into place, the various alchemists are doing whatever it is THEY'RE supposed to be getting ready, the homunculi are being confronted, and even the author is saying in the side panels that the series is near the end.Even with Mustang and Armstrong on the move already, the last 3 volumes have still really just been setup for the final confrontation, and lord, it looks like it's going to be epic. I can't wait! *____* less
