review 1: As many other reviewers have said this book was one of those coming of age stories that can appeal to a much younger audience. I can see second and third graders wanting to read it although the teenage change in gender relationships my not yet (hopefully) apply to them. The doll was not nearly as creepy as in Coraline or Amy's Eyes. I personally loved the end and can see why this is getting so much buzz.
