review 1: I have to say, I was a let down... When I read the description, I was expecting a high paced, slightly scary thrilling novel about a possessed doll. Instead, I got a not so high paced story with hints of scariness thrown in their and a mystery of a doll that isn't ever really solved. Was her ghost appearing to those people in the doughnut shop and the dude on the bus? Or were they all joking? That's never explained. I just have to say that this story, for all of it's wonderful glowing reviews and good credits, I found it to be, mediocre and a bit dry.Well, that's my opinion, enjoy!Gigi
review 2: Honestly I did not like this book because it seemed dull to me. It felt like there was no excitement or anything interesting. To me it could have been better. I abandon... moreed this book because of the lack of excitement and creativity. Also it wasn't horror, their was nothing scary in that book the author Holly Black could have done better for my taste. What could have made it a better book was a little creativity and some excitement. To all the future readers I personally think if you like horror books go the other way because this is not scary or creative in any way. I'm sorry about all the fuss but, it just wasn't the book I believed it would be. less
