review 1: There are various stories in the book and some appealed to me but in general, I didn't love the entire collection. The comics in between stories are amusing and I could relate with some of them. I guess it's amusing enough but I probably would only recommend it to friends who are fine with some stereotypes or like some fluff along with their geekery. Maybe I am not really the target market of this collection.
review 2: Is it wrong not to like a book as much as you were anticipating only because it didn't line up with what you thought is was going to be? I thought the book was going to be personal, nonfiction stories told from the different geek genres. Instead I got short made up stories. I was sad. I think I'd have liked it more if I went in thinking fict... moreion. I'm still trying to separate my disappoint in the book from my expectations of the book. less
