review 1: This book was witty, beautiful and a great read. I loved how author were to pick a choice, zombie or unicorn and write a story supporting their chosen one and making it seem better than the other. I was confused on weather the author was to write a story including both or not. I love most of these story's but their were a few that I didn't like and ultimately skimmed through them, changing my 5 stars to 4 stars. But on the bright side I loved how Holly and Justine had a page of dialogue and before they got into a certain short story. They are quite funny! Overall I would recommend this book ( though it does swear and is for 14+, which I assume is because of the profanity)(Ps. I think zombies won)
review 2: At first I was really excited to read this book. It had
... more so much promise, Zombies vs. Unicorns, what a weird fantasy battle and the authors were in large part writers I had read and greatly enjoyed as storytellers. However, from the start I felt disjointed, these stories didn't really connect in a battle sort of sense, but then I had to remind myself that an anthology doesn't have direct connection like a series. So, with this is mind I tried starting over in my attempts to finish the book. What inevitably happened was I skipped to the stories written by the authors I already knew and enjoyed and while they were good short stories I was overall let down. None of the stories really caught my attention, and I found myself wanting to "get to the point" of the story in some cases. All in all, it was just okay. less
