review 1: This book was waste of my time. It had no redeeming quality I can think of. I just have nothing good to say about this.The MC was suffering from identity crisis, she was inconsistent. Sometimes it felt like she was 8 years old and others...well...like 8 year old wrote her. She wouldn't know witty even if it bit her right on the ass. She never even came up with a good comeback, or a comeback for that matter. She was a prude, and author thought that was a quality her character must have. *eye roll* She was undercover in S&M club and almost blow her cover because someone tore off a duck tape from a woman's breasts, and she couldn't watch. OMG it's S&M club, for crying out loud, and that's the mildest stuff that could happen in there. For her that was so wrong she almost faint... moreed. again *eye roll*She suffered from Sookie syndrome, of course she did, why am I even surprised. Every man in the book wanted her. And it's sooo hard to believe that when the MC has no quality that appealed to me. The romance felt flat as well. The author didn't build the spark when she had the chance and when she did it was already too late.This book definitely goes to meh category.
review 2: I had a hard time connecting with the writing style- I found it to be too casual for my liking...almost like I kept interrupting a conversation instead of a narration. I also had a hard time connecting with Dulcie, but that might be just because I'm not as strong willed as she is. The book did however, draw me in very quickly. I had a hard time putting it down once I was a few pages in. will I purchase her other books? Most likely. Yes. less
