review 1: 1.5 stars I swear if I read the word "chuckle" one more time it will be too soon..the word is a drinking game waiting to happen in this series ...and that sex scene ugh..talk about step by step manual ..And in one page the heroine was wearing sweats then in the next page they became jeans then they became sweats again I mean really!! Did anyone edit theses books ?! You might ask why I read them ...well beside being a sucker for punishment obviously .this month is dry I mean I had no other books or better books at hand ..so that is why I read them ...Now I can not read more I just have to take a chance and read something else ..
review 2: For two previous books (and a short story) I have hoped and prayed for an awesome Dulcie and Knight storyline. This book was
... more such a gift! Book two ended with Knight teasing Dulcie (and us) with what his glowing eyes meant. That dragged me quickly through the first few chapters, desperate to find out! We finally get payoff (in a big way!) only to have a big wrench thrown into my happy happy storyline... I was sad that Bram and Quil had to mess with my perfect Knight/Dulcie book, but it was all necessary to give us a great look at their back stories. I kept watching the % get closer to 100, thinking that there was no way the storyline would wrap up, and it doesn't. I need to read the next book right now!! less

While I liked this novel, I didn't enjoy it as much as the previous ones. I'm not as fond of Bram as I am of Knight, and I really was looking forward to seeing more of Dulcie and Knight together, which really isn't much of what happened. Still, I do like the world that Mallory has built. It's definitely an enjoyable place to pass some time, and I will be going on to the next book in the series because I'm still hoping to see what does happen between the two main characters, this time earthside not in the underworld.

I really like the Dulcie O'Neil series! I love the relationship between Dulcie and Knight and now Bram added a fun little twist. This book changed it up and we finally get to see what the Netherworld that they've been talking about is like. The series doesn't replay the same story in every book with different bad guys like some series do. The twist at the end of this book isn't my favorite but we will see where it goes in the next book!
