review 1: Just finished the series, could see where wool and shift came from. had the same problem with this book as with the shift series. while the backstories were not as repetitive as those in shift, I would have appreciated them more in the books where we met the characters. Something that really annoys me about this authors style. Its annoying to find a well paced series clogged down by sloppy editing. Hugh Howey should wait until finishing his series to publish everything, and then he can stuff his backstories in the right spots vs slowing down the ending
review 2: This book took me a long time to read, but not because it was long, or boring, or anything like that. Actually, Plants vs. Zombies kinda got in the way. Every time I picked up my Fire, I played t
... morehe game for a couple of hours, then read for like 5 minutes. Again, though, not because the book wasn't interesting, just because the game was that much fun.Anyhow, this book ties up the series very nicely, but leaves enough open where there could be side series created if the author so chose, just don't get addicted to playing an unrelated game in the middle of the book. less

It's a shame all of the back stories were in the last book. Great way to end the series though
