review 1: I loved the first installment of this, and the 2nd was was just as good. If you're familiar with any Shakespeare, you can see how much work goes into this - it's not just about writing in iambic pentameter, it's also using already well-known Shakespeare lines where it makes sense with the plot. I also love the illustrations, made to look like a stage version of Star Wars - like the AT-ATs with little wheels on tracks to make them move across the stage. So funny! It's a brief, fun read, keeps the spirit of the movie, and it's just really really clever.
review 2: I really appreciate that the author is making intentional choices about how to handle certain aspects and characters in this series. I didn't love the decision to use less chorus and more character descr
... moreiptions of action sequences but I understand it. One of the things I loved about the first one was the sense that every piece of dialogue could be mapped to dialogue from the original films and that got lost here. But it was an intentional decision based on fan feedback and I understand it. Overall, this was still really well done and entertaining and I'm particularly interested in the third one since Jedi is, admittedly, my favorite of the trilogy and it is the author's as well! less
