review 1: Ren is falling for Ninako, but Mayuka and Daiki's father is getting remarried and Mayuka needs Ren more than ever. Daiki wonders if he can be a good boyfriend to Sayuri if he moves with his father and can't be where she is. Ando keeps working to convince Ninako that she should transfer her affections from Ren to him. Sakisaka takes this volume and really looks at how divorce and remarriage can effect children - their views on relationships particularly.
review 2: In this volume, Ren and Nina have a couple physical interactions that are mostly innocent but you can see that they are killing Ren. He wants to be with her so badly but there is no way he will break it off with Mayuka. This volume also focuses a little more on the relationship between Daiki and Sayu
... moreri. Daiki's dad is getting remarried and moving and Daiki feels an obligation to move with him. Which means he has to break it off with Sayuri. After talking it over with Nina, he realizes he doesn't want to leave Sayuri and has to tell his dad. The book ends with Ren telling Nina he can't come to the Christmas party because he'll be with Mayuka but then you find out Mayuka has to work on Christmas so Ren was just lying. The series is still good. I like how often the characters are saying, "Oh he/she is so mature!" which they really aren't but I guess for high schoolers they are making good decisions. Also, there are little stories about the author in between chapters that I skip over because they are stupid. I'm reading the books because of the fictional story, not to read about her chinchillas... less
