Jessie Burton’s début novel The Miniaturist has been adapted for TV and will be shown by the BBC this Christmas.
The book which is set in Amsterdam in 1686 tells the story of Nella Oortman, a grand house and a whole heap of secrets and lies will hit our screens soon. Although the BBC has not yet given a specific date it will be shown over the festive period and a trailer video has been released.
If you prefer to read the book before you watch the film or the TV series then you still have time to read Burton’s The Miniaturist before Christmas.
