review 1: In this volume we finally learn what Takomi's behind the scenes machinations are all about. This series is so good because of the fun ways that the author came up with the present rather regular situations. Like Takomi insists they find a club and they get into all sorts of trouble doing just that, trying to do it their way instead of acceding to Takomi's way right from the beginning.I loved the whole bancho situation with the Morse code and the Natsuo costume! I love the slow reveal of her and Takomi's history from when she was a kid. Also love how he flips between the older brother, older lover relationship. For some reason his slimy older man with young girl thing works and is really the best part of the series.I particularly adore chapter 9 where Mafuyu and Kyotaro Oke... moregawa's connection! I love the way this guy (the bancho she beat) is drawn and how forceful he is then how it's contrasted to his romantic (pigeon) side. These arc with Hayasaka learning the truth about her was as hard to take for me as for Mayfuyu! I love how she goes to Takomi to figure out how to turn Hayasaka back to normal. Will he ever grow up enough? The drawings are really stellar of both the funny actions and the characters. The plot is a slow build with very little happening each volume - it's the fun and entertaining situations that make the story, not the story itself. The more absurd these arcs get the better!
review 2: Mafuyu is a yanki girl who is Bachou at her school. She gets expelled and is forced to go to another school by her mother. Now she wants to lead a normal life as an ordinary school girl and now is her chance.Soon she finds out that her homeroom teacher is her childhood friend and he needs her help. Forced to choose between being an ordinary girl or being a yanki what do you think she will choose? less
