review 1: Very clean, romantic, and fun. LDS theme. Kit is found being attacked by a gang, and before Rossen is able to get to her, much damage is done. Driving her 8 hours to a hospital, Rossen realizes, not only is she too thin, but pregnant too. Their relationship is hampered by her only being 17 and he feels she is still a child, and he is much too old for her. The story is him getting past his age issue, and her feeling virtuous, even though bad things have happened to her. I LOVE these characters, and thought it was well written. I am truly surprised it doesn't have higher ratings. I loved it.
review 2: I have enjoyed Jaclyn's books and this has all the uplifting elements of faith in God, looking for the good in others and finding peace in good relationships. Of ... morecourse the Rocklands never disappoint and I love to read the fun antics that they pull on each other. Kit and Rossens story is a bit frustrating as he tries to allow her to choose for herself and experience life but at great emotional cost to him and her. Jaclyn's stories always take place over a long period of time and it allows for good character development. I really liked this one! less
